Early Life Edgar Allan Poe was an "outcast" since the day he was born. Everyone knew the kid was different then all the other boys and girls. Shortly after Edgar was born he was sent to an orphanage because his mother died.
During childhood Poe always wanted to be alone, off in the distance doing his own thing. He always wanted to go in the woods and just enjoy the outdoors, instead of going and playing with the other kids. Toward his teen years Edgar tried enlisting in the army and that didn't work, so he left his adopted family and that is where his writing career began. - Ryan Sanders |
Adulthood In Poe's later years in Life he traveled around writing his poetry. He eventually ended up marring his 13 year old cousin, at the age of 35. That sparked his famous poem "The Raven", which he could never see published because he lived a short life and died at the age of 40.
